Accelerating Our Prosperity
During the past year, the PEDC and its leadership have worked diligently with the public and private sectors to identify new areas of opportunity that will improve Pasco’s business climate, reputation and ability to attract, retain and create high value jobs. PEDC’s work, in coordination with the release of Urban Land Institute (ULI) report, has provided a realistic framework resulting in:
New Land Development Code (ULI recommendation in process)
New Permitting Process (ULI recommendation in process)
New Governance Structure (PEDC)
New Economic Development Strategic Plan (PEDC)
New Perception of Pasco County
Creating the Capacity to Succeed
Accelerating Pasco’s economic prosperity is dependent upon our ability to leverage our most valuable asset...Our Leaders. Recognizing that we needed to create an organizational structure capable of uniting our business, government, and civic leaders on a sustained basis, PEDC modernized its governance model by:
- Implementing value-based investor levels
- Creating new opportunities for engagement, leadership and collaboration
Our new governance structure is the foundation upon which we will build a best-of-class organization. We will increase the opportunities for engagement, leadership and collaboration through the implementation of the following:
- Policy Council will serve as key advisors and a major resource for the PEDC Board
- Board of Directors will govern the PEDC and provide the necessary level of oversight
- Task Forces will focus on programmatic deliverables and execution strategies
